100 Years of the RCN
In 2016 the Royal College of Nursing celebrated 100 years of representing nurses and nursing, promoting excellence in practice and shaping health policies. Established as a pioneering organisation for female professionals, the College saw nursing move from an extension of womanly dutires to a skillful career open to all.
Today more than 435,000 RCN members are the voice of nursing in the UK. This book explores the College's journey through the decades and the moments which shaped its history.
