This keyring features the Crest of the Royal College of Nursing.
The cut-out central design features a blue shield containing a sun and three stars, representing day and night, which is surmounted by an open book and a Roman lamp, the traditional symbol of nursing.
On a scroll beneath the shield is inscribed in gold letters: 'TRADIMUS LAMPADA' (we hand on the torch). Around the edge on a band of blue enamel is inscribed in gold letters: 'The Royal College of Nursing of the United Kingdom'.
